INDICATIONS OF PROBLEM OR CLOGGED DRAINS

DRAIN CLEANING

Various signs warn us that something is wrong with the sewer. It is good if we suspect something and confirm it to take immediate action for the restoration. The problem should be addressed when it is still small as sewer repairs are quite expensive.

  • Strange sounds coming from the pipes. One of the main signs of a clogged drain is some muffled sounds coming from the pipes. If they are repeated then a blockage is required as the pipes cannot drain smoothly the liquids and any obstacles found inside them.
  • Unpleasant odors that come from rotting objects in the pipe. Food scraps mainly but also what is left over from time to time in the sink from food preparation accumulate and deteriorate over time. The odors emerge towards the only outlet which is the drain hole since the pipe is clogged.
  • Slow water flow. When you notice that the water is not draining from the sink, bathtub or washbasin at the usual speed you knew, then it is suspected that a blockage is preparing. If the slow drainage persists or you notice that the drainage speed decreases even more, then the blockage is imperative as soon as possible so that the pipes do not become completely clogged.
  • Water backflow. We have all seen water coming out of the siphon grate onto the bathroom floor. This is a sign that the pipes are not completely free to let the water go, which inevitably overflows and comes out wherever it finds an outlet.
  • Moisture. Signs of moisture on the walls from damaged drainage due to leakage or overflow of clogged drainage from neighboring apartments. Appearance of mold which is the next stage of moisture which may also be accompanied by a bad odor.
  • Appearance of mice or cockroaches. When a drain is damaged or cracked, it becomes an easy entry point for mice and cockroaches.

WHAT CAUSES THE CLOGGING?

DRAIN CLEANING

Drain blockages can be caused by a variety of objects that often end up in drains. Such as hair, grease, soap scum, food, paper, tree roots. In many cases, however, the pipe can also be clogged by objects that many of us throw down, thinking they can break down. Such objects include baby wipes, diapers, sanitary napkins and most commonly, toilet paper.

Food scraps and food preparation materials can put a significant strain on the drain if left in the sink. Small toys that children throw, whether while playing or accidentally, also have their share of responsibility. Finally, there is always the possibility that problems have arisen due to a faulty or damaged pipe. In these cases, we cannot do much on our own and it is best to call a specialist.

IS SEWER CLEANING NECESSARY?

DRAIN CLEANING

Every day, various objects pass through our pipes. Many of them, such as food fats, paper and grease, should not end up in the sewer pipes. Thus, all these objects can accumulate in wells and pipes, which will clog them after a short period of time. The same objects can also be accompanied by inorganic substances. That is, mainly human waste and water, but also by other types of materials such as mud, stones and tree roots that have managed to find a place inside the pipes.

All of these reasons can cause minor as well as serious problems in your pipes or drainage system. If there is a frequent accumulation of these substances then repeated blockages can occur. In any case, you should check the pipes otherwise you will be faced with overflowing drains and damage that will require immediate repair or even replacement of the pipes.

SEWER CLEANING PROCEDURE

DRAIN CLEANING

As soon as the drain technician arrives at your location, the first thing they will do is look for the cause of the problem. If the problem is serious enough and the cause of the problem is not obvious, then we can carry out a drain inspection using a special sewer camera to find the cause of the problem. This equipment is designed to measure the distance and location, allowing the technician to resolve the problem more effectively. On internal pipes that are underground, we use electromechanical equipment in combination with high-pressure water jetting. This way we can unblock and clean the drain, ensuring that it stays clean.

Through the method of water jetting we can safely remove all obstacles from your sewer. This is a method of cleaning wells and pipes using high-pressure water. This method can break up any sewage and obstacles in the sewer line. The water, thanks to the pressure, acts as a cutting tool, cutting objects such as tree roots and organic debris. This method can even clean the mud found on the walls of the pipes. Thus, the water flow returns to normal and the sewage ends up normally in the sewer network.

Our highly trained technicians, combined with the advanced technology carried by our vehicle machinery, lead to the efficient completion of every task.
