Sewer blockage

If you notice water returning from the bathroom drain to the floor and at the same time slow drainage from some other drains such as the washbasin or bathtub or sink or basin then it is very likely that a sewer blockage is required in your pipe network. At some point after the drains, a blockage has been created. Our professional technician can easily locate the location using modern equipment and release your sewer network whether it is a blockage in the local apartment or a blockage in the central sewer of the building.

SIGNS OF A CLOGGED DRAIN

SEWER BLOCKAGE

Various signs warn us that the drain is malfunctioning. If we suspect something, it is good to confirm it and immediately seek drain blockage or cleaning. If the problem is addressed early, it is certain that you will avoid “expensive and laborious” drain repairs. Some of the suspicious signs of blockage are the following:

  • Strange sounds coming from the pipes.
  • Unpleasant odors coming from rotting objects inside the pipe.
  • Slow water drainage.
  • Return of water and sewage from siphons.
  • Signs of moisture on the walls or ceilings.
  • Appearance of mold which is the next stage of dampness.
  • Rarely, mice or cockroaches appear.

WHAT CAUSES A CLOGGED DRAIN?

SEWER BLOCKAGE

Sewer pipe blockage can be caused by various objects that often end up in sewer pipes, such as:

Sink.

  • Fats or oils from cooking.
  • Coffee or coffee beans.
  • If you have a garbage eater, do not throw away meat, chicken and fish bones, as well as eggshells.
  • Pasta, rice, breads.
  • Stickers from fruit when we wash them.
  • Leftovers from celery, carrots and potato peelings.

Sink, bathtub.

  • Hair.
  • Cotton items (makeup remover).
  • Hair conditioner.
  • The dental floss.
  • Razor heads or blades.
  • Medicines, lotions and cosmetics.
  • Paints, paint thinners, nail polishes.

Basin.

  • Baby wipes, napkins, tissues.
  • Tampons, sanitary napkins.
  • Cotton buds .
  • Cigarette butts.
  • Chewing gum.
  • Tissues or similar fibrous materials .
  • Trauma plaster .
  • The dental floss.
  • Condoms.
  • Rubber gloves.
  • Medicines, lotions and cosmetics.
  • Glues.
  • Bottle caps, either metal or plastic.
  • Small games.
  • Paints, paint thinners, nail polishes.

PROFESSIONAL SEWER UNCLOGGING

SEWER BLOCKAGE

Unclogging and cleaning are two different tasks. Initially, unclogging is carried out to normalize drainage in the siphons. Then a complete cleaning of the pipes can be carried out. For both tasks, modern technological equipment is used depending on the case, but always with professional operators.

We have extensive experience and know-how with over 35 years of presence in professional unblocking, cleaning and water pumping. We have a complete picture of the sewage network of single-family homes, apartment buildings and large building facilities. We deal with a multitude of cases of all levels of difficulty every day, from unclogging a sink to blocking central manholes and pipes to the municipal sewage network.

We use all methods for DRAIN UNCLOGGING depending on the case, the point of blockage and the object blocking the pipe. We have the appropriate state-of-the-art equipment to unclog any clog.

  • Electromechanical drainsnakes.
  • Manual drainsnakes.
  • Pressure machines with water jet.
  • Multiple water jet heads depending on the case.
  • Complex suction and pressure machine.
  • Special sewer inspection cameras.

SEWER CLOGGING WITH DRAINSNAKE

MANUAL DRAINSNAKE

MOTORIZED DRAINSNAKE

A power-operated drain unblocker works on the same principles as a manual one. However, these drain unblocking tools are typically used on large diameter pipes or stubborn blockages.

The motor gives the technician more power to push and break up the buildup of materials through the pipes. These mechanisms have automatic feeds that make it easier to move the cable. The technician can easily push the cable through the pipe and just as easily pull it back after unclogging the pipe.

The use of drainsnake must be carried out by a professional technician as more serious damage to the pipes may be caused by poor or amateur handling.

SEWER UNCLOGGING AND CLEANING WITH PRESSURE WATER JET

Through the method of water jetting we can safely remove all obstacles from your drain. This method can break up any solidified volumes of sewage and obstacles in the drain line. It is a completely ecological method that does not burden the physical and structural condition of the pipes. Of course, the appropriate equipment is required and especially the appropriate handling by experienced technicians, which we guarantee by committing to the effectiveness of this blockage method.

We use special equipment that contains a water tank, a hose, a nozzle, and a device that forces the water into the nozzle so that it can be sprayed out under pressure. The nozzle can be of different shapes or sizes depending on the size of the drain or the composition of the blockage. A chisel-type nozzle, for example, is useful for cutting through hard blockages such as roots, lumps, or hardened buildup.

WATERING PROCESS

Before water jetting, an initial video inspection can be performed by dropping a tiny video camera down the sewer line to see exactly where the blockages are and what they contain. For example, sometimes the issue is not a clump of solidified debris, but an intrusion from tree roots.

The process begins by inserting a nozzle into the drain pipe. The technician then uses the jet to send high-pressure water into the drain line. Water jetting can be useful even against root blockages, but the technician usually first uses an electromechanical cutter to break up the roots into more manageable pieces. The video inspection also helps ensure that the pipe configuration will not cause sewage to back up during the water jetting process.

DRAIN BLOCKAGE AND CAMERA INSPECTION

If the problem is not obvious then we can carry out a drain inspection with a special CCTV camera to locate the blockage. This equipment is designed to measure the distance and visually identify the location of the obstruction, allowing the technician to resolve the problem more effectively.

A drain camera is a very small and flexible camera that is attached to a flexible cable. The technician will use this cable to reach the point where there may be a blockage or break in order to be able to solve the problem with the least invasive approach possible. This cable can be twisted so that it can move around all the bends of your pipe.

BENEFITS OF USING A DRAIN CAMERA

  • The good news about using a camera is that you don’t have to dig up your yard to get to the root of the problem.
  • The technician monitors the camera path in real time, which allows immediate diagnosis of the condition of the pipes.
  • Cameras are also great for detecting tree roots, which require different treatment than other types of blockages. Tree roots are one of the common culprits when you have drainage problems and there are trees or shrubs around the house.
  • Some problems are more complex and may require a careful camera survey to catch small problems early before they become large ones. Many objects cause pipes to break, crack, and collapse. Sometimes the ground simply shifts, causing damage to the pipe.
  • You can also opt for a sewer line survey with a camera if you are looking to buy a home to assess the plumbing of your potential new home.
  • Ultimately, camera inspections offer insight into recent utility projects that may have inadvertently damaged your pipes. With a sewer line camera inspection, you can use the footage to negotiate with your utility company about the repairs you’re facing.

Our properly trained staff and modern equipment guarantee sure results without causing any damage to the pipes. We respect your space and take special care not to create any disruption.
